Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved to create. I’ve always enjoyed being able to look at a picture, pick up a paint brush and get in the zone. This love for painting has only grown as I have, and I have been able to explore my creativity and find my style through these last 3 years while studying at Liberty University.

Using watercolor and gouache, I have found my creative rhythm and find inspiration through the medium itself. The translucent buildable layers that watercolors give me allow me to give life to the beloved animals. Gouache gives me the ability to add the personality marks and detail in each painting. With the medium I can juxtapose the line between abstract and traditional. Using abstract backgrounds, I can capture the energy in our furry friends.

My goal as an artist is to capture life’s special moments. I love working with potential customers and hearing how each pet has their own personality and the challenge that brings for me to capture not only the image but the personality of each pet in every painting. I hope to bring joy to the owner when they see a painting that honor their furry friend.
